SeaSearch ’96 was the first gathering of maritime aircraft at IAT for almost 10 years. Over 50 reconnaissance, patrol, search and rescue aircraft participate in aerial and static displays giving fascinating insight and due recognition to their invaluable achievements in international maritime aviation and search and rescue.

It is now 30 years since the development Harrier’s maiden flight in 1966 which IAY ’96 commemorates with a thrilling display, enhanced with pyrotechnics and a simulated SAS ground rescue, giving testimony to this unique aircraft and the skill of all the pilots who have had the privilege to experience the freedom of vertical reality.

Join in the exciting atmosphere of IAT ’96, the biggest multinational gathering of military aircraft in the world, with static and aerial displays, including ten of the world’s best formation aerobatic teams creating a tremendous spectacle for the enjoyment of all ages.
